Ramadan Recipes: Lemon Chicken

As the name suggests, lemon chicken usually consists of pieces of chicken that are sautéed or deep-fried and coated with a buttery garlic lemon sauce that adds so much flavor to the chicken.

- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon rosemary

- ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- ½ lemon, thinly sliced
- 1 cup chicken broth

- Cook the chicken
تم نسخ الرابطWarm the olive oil in a pan, add garlic, and cook for just 1 minute, then add thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper, then place the chicken with skin side up and cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
- Prepare the sauce
تم نسخ الرابطIn the same cooking pan, add melted butter and flour then stir until the flour is dissolved into the butter and turns golden, then cook the minced garlic for about 20 seconds, then pour in the chicken broth and the lemon juice, and wait until the sauce is thickened.
