- 9 medium potatoes (about 1.25 kilograms)

- 2 ½ cups grated cheese (Gruyere, Colby, Cheddar, or Havarti)
- 2 tsp thyme leaves

- Prepare the Cream Mixture

- Preheat the Oven

- Slice the Potatoes
تم نسخ الرابطPeel the potatoes and slice them into 3 mm (⅛ inch) thick rounds. A slicer or a mandoline can make this step easier.
- Prepare the First Layer
تم نسخ الرابطSpread ⅓ of the potatoes in a baking dish. Pour over ⅓ of the cream mixture, sprinkle with salt, pepper, and thyme, and top with ¾ cup of cheese.
- Second and Third Layers

- Bake Covered

- Add Cheese and Bake Again
