Layali Lubnan

5 cups full fat milk
½ cup granulated sugar
½ cup semolina flour
1 tsp mastic powder
1 tbsp orange blossom water
1 tbsp rose water

Toppings

2 cans of cream
Crushed pistachios

  1. Mix and Prepare

    Add the milk, sugar, semolina flour, and mastic powder to a large pot. Mix it, then transfer to medium heat. Keep stirring until the mixture thickens and starts bubbling, then remove it from the heat. Then, add the orange blossom water and rose water. Pour it into a Pyrex dish, let it cool, and chill for 1 hour.
  2. Prepare the Cream

    Transfer the cream to a mixing bowl and whip for a minute, then pour over the semolina mixture. Top with pistachios and dried edible petals if available, then return it to the fridge for 6 hours or overnight. Enjoy with sugar syrup!
