Ramadan Recipe: Easy Harak Osbao

- 2 cups Fettuccine pasta, crushed
- 1 cup brown lentils
- 5 garlic cloves, crushed
- ¾ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 3 tbsp pomegranate molasses
- 2 tbsp tamarind molasses
- 1 tbsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 cup pomegranate seeds
- 1 cup fried pita bread

- Cook the Pasta and Lentils
تم نسخ الرابطIn a large pot, boil 3 cups of water and cook the pasta in it. Halfway through, add your dry lentils and let cook with the pasta.
- Add the Seasonings
تم نسخ الرابطSeason your pasta and lentils with pomegranate molasses, tamarind molasses, cumin, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer until the water thickens.
- Fry the Onions
تم نسخ الرابطSlice your onion and coat it with flour then shallow fry until crispy and golden brown. Add a bunch of fried onions to the pasta and lentils.
- Sauté Garlic and Cilantro
تم نسخ الرابطIn 2 tablespoons of oil, sauté the garlic and cilantro together. Make sure your garlic does not get brown colored. Add 2 tablespoons of sauteed garlic and cilantro to your seasoned pasta and lentils.
- Assemble and Serve

You need a thick soup-like texture, so add more water if need be. If it's too runny, let it simmer more.
