Ramadan Parking and Darb Timings in Abu Dhabi Explained

Ramadan is here, and with it come a few changes that might affect your travel plans in Abu Dhabi. From parking fees to public transport schedules, it's important to stay updated on what's different during this special month. Here’s a quick breakdown of what’s changed in the capital.

Abu Dhabi Ramadan Parking Timings

If you’re planning to head out for an iftar or suhoor and need to park, you’ll still need to pay for parking during Ramadan. The Mawaqif paid parking system will follow the usual timings, so parking fees are applicable from Monday to Saturday, 8am to midnight. There are no changes to the Mawaqif schedule this year, so make sure to check your parking duration to avoid fines.

Darb Toll Gate Changes

The Darb toll system is also adjusting its hours for Ramadan. Toll fees are now in effect from 8am to 10am and 2pm to 4pm, Monday to Saturday. On Sundays, the toll gates remain free, so it’s a good opportunity to avoid charges if you’re driving on that day.

Public Transport During Ramadan

If you rely on public transport, there are some changes to be aware of. Public buses in Abu Dhabi will operate from 6am to 11pm Monday to Friday and from 6am to 1am on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). The Abu Dhabi Link service, which provides a shuttle between key locations, will run daily from 6am to 11pm.
