Ramadan Charities in the UAE

Ramadan is a month when Muslims fast from dawn till dusk and spend time in spiritual reflection. Ramadan is also a time to celebrate as Muslims get together with their family and friends for Iftar (meal to break fast) in the evening. The Holy Month provides Muslims with an opportunity to engage in good deeds by giving Zakat (charity).

Here are some Ramadan charities you can donate to in the UAE:

International Charity Organization UAE

International Charity Organization has opened various donation campaigns for Ramadan. The organization has launched campaigns that provide Iftar for labour camps, food parcels for poor families, Ramadan gifts for needy families, and other campaigns.

Sharjah Charitable Society

Sharjah Charitable Society has launched the Joud campaign for Ramadan 2023 to raise AED 125 million for various assistance programs.

Emirates Red Crescent (ERC)

Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has launched the Ramadan: Continuous Giving campaign. It will support 2.1 million people globally with funds amounting to AED 36.8 million.

Al Jalila Foundation

Al Jalila Foundation has launched its Basma Ramadan Campaign for the holy month. The campaign will fund treatment for children with chronic illnesses.

Dar Al Ber Society

Dar Al Ber Society has launched a Ramadan campaign, which began on March 6^th and will run till the end of Ramadan. The campaign includes 16 Ramadan projects and a humanitarian and community-oriented initiative, which will feature four seasonal projects and initiatives. There is an Iftar project that will involve distributing 8,000 meals daily inside the country and 60,000 outside of the country. The campaign includes other projects such as the Ramadan Project and Zakat, an initiative to provide Eid clothing to orphans, the Zakat Iftar project, and much more.

Beit Al Khair

Beit Al Khair is launching the Al-Mir Ramadan project. The project will have funds amounting to AED 4,750,000 and these funds will benefit 3,000 families with low income. The campaign will also support any case registered with the association’s branches.

Sharjah Charity International

Sharjah Charity International has launched a Ramadan basket project. This project will support needy families within UAE during the holy month.  

Dubai Charity Association

Dubai Charity Association has launched its Ramadan campaign. The campaign supports families within the UAE and people outside of the UAE. Some of the projects within the campaign include fasting breakfast, Ramadan Mir, Zakat-ul-Fitr, Eid clothes, and Zakat.
