Tadej Pogačar just reminded the world why he's one of cycling’s biggest names. Racing for UAE Team Emirates-XRG, the Slovenian superstar powered to a legendary solo win at the 2025 Tour of Flanders, locking in his second career victory at one of the most brutal one-day races in the sport.
The move? A savage attack on the Oude Kwaremont climb with 18km to go that left his biggest rivals — including defending champ Mathieu van der Poel and Mads Pedersen — gasping for air. From there, it was Pogačar vs. the clock… and spoiler alert: he crushed it.
Known affectionately as De Ronde, the Tour of Flanders is no joke. The 268.9km route is stacked with 16 gut-punch climbs and cobbled chaos, but Pogačar made it look like a casual ride through the park — if your park is full of pain and steep inclines.
Despite a furious chase by a four-man group featuring Jasper Stuyven, Wout van Aert, Van der Poel, and Pedersen, no one could reel Pogačar back in. He crossed the line solo, securing his eighth Monument win and giving UAE Team Emirates-XRG their 24th W of the season.
As for the rest? Pedersen took second, with Van der Poel settling for third after accepting that chasing Pogačar was a lost cause.
With this win, Pogačar isn’t just stacking titles — he’s cementing legend status. Again.
