Set to take place from February 1 to 8 at the International Tennis Centre, Zayed Sports City, this year’s competition is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated yet.

Wildcards and Returning Favorites

French ace Caroline Garcia, reigning Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova, and rising American star Ashlyn Krueger have received wildcards into the main draw. Meanwhile, Japan’s Wakana Sonobe will battle it out in the qualifiers for a chance to shine on the big stage.

This won’t be their first appearance in Abu Dhabi. Garcia, Krueger, and Sonobe all competed in the 2024 edition, though each faced tough challenges. Garcia exited after a closely contested first-round match against Sorana Cirstea, Krueger was ousted by eventual runner-up Daria Kasatkina, and Sonobe fell to Bernarda Pera in straight sets.
