Mashreq Metro Station to be Renamed to InsuranceMarket

The Mashreq Metro station in Dubai will be renamed InsuranceMarket station, according to Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

The RTA announced the news on Thursday, Aug. 5. The InsuranceMarket metro station is on the Red Line between the Mall of the Emirates and Internet City metro stations. 

RTA has also already changed the station's outdoor signs, they will also be changing the name on the electronic systems of the public transport network.

The audio announcement in the metro will also be updated during the September to November transition period this year. 

Various metro stations have been rebranded in the past few years, such as Al Rashidya Station becoming Centrepoint and Al Jaffliya Station becoming Max Fashion.
