Levi’s® and Kiko Kostadinov partner on their first collaborative project encompassing both Menswear and Womenswear silhouettes. Each capsule collection premiered as an integrated component of Kiko’s mainline runway shows during Paris Fashion Week earlier this year in January 2024 and March 2024, respectively.
On the Menswear side, Kiko Kostadinov reinterpreted Levi’s® Engineered Jeans™ archival features from the 1990s, evolving the original engineered twisted construction through the brand's own conceptual approach. The highlight of this reinterpretation is a new knee and elbow darting construction that introduces diamond inserts inspired by traditional Bulgarian motifs. Used in both the Denim Jacket and Denim Trousers, these design cues are also translated into eyelets applied inside the diamond panels, creating a conceptual visual language and functional ventilation for the garments. The mix of conceptual design and utilitarian functionality is in line with the ethos of the brand and becomes amplified even further with its first foray into denim. Completing the capsule collection is a hybrid Jersey Cardigan, offered in black and grey. Blending influences from classic sportswear cardigans and western shirts, these silhouettes feature an asymmetric front opening, side patch pockets and top stitching all around.
Laura and Deanna Fanning's approach for the Womenswear capsule collection whisks celebrated Levi’s® developments into the wardrobe for the Kiko Kostadinov woman. An interest in the three-piece denim suit and the cutting language of Levi’s® Engineered garments forms the foundation to the small albeit detail driven capsule. Materials are washed in umber tones and the brands’ fondness for fuzzy textures and stripes present themselves in small, paneled details and washed irregular prints that appear on askew Jersey Henley styles. The Paneled Jeans present themselves in a relaxed fit whilst the Paneled Denim Jacket appears as a dual mode – with its large, shaped sleeve and a darted waist cinching gilet overlay.

About Kiko Kostadinov
Kiko Kostadinov is the menswear designer behind the acclaimed eponymous label based in London and Paris. His work, simultaneously avant garde yet pragmatic and wearable, challenges contemporary menswear aesthetics by continually introducing forward-thinking propositions for the genre. Since graduating from Central Saint Martins with his MA in 2016, Kostadinov has seen his burgeoning label expand to incorporate womenswear (helmed by twin-sisters Laura and Deanna Fanning), diffusion lines, outside collaborations, and fragrances. Originally from Melbourne, Australia, twin sisters Laura and Deanna Fanning are the designers and directors of Kiko Kostadinov’s Womenswear. Making their debut in 2018 after receiving their MA from Central Saint Martins, their appointment established the dialogue for Kiko Kostadinov’s Womenswear through their involvement in all avenues including seasonal runway collections, design and direction across collaborations, and campaigns.
