Let’s try Lara’s Friday Simple Salmon Mediterranean Salad!

• 6 oz Salmon baked/broiled for 12 min with fresh garlic (you can reduce portions size to 4 in an attempt to reduce your caloric and fat intake).
• 1 cup shredded lettuce.
• 2 tsp fresh minced parsley.
• 1/3 red onion.
• 1 large tomato
• 2 Persian cucumbers 
• Lemons 
• 1/2 tbsp olive oil (you can just lemon or vinegar without oil to reduce fat intake).

Macronutrients:

500 Calories
40 gms Protein
29 gms Fat (if you are on a low-fat diet to lower your cholesterol levels or for Fatty liver or other medical conditions, aim to have <15 gms Fat per meal, preferably 9-10 gms max, this nb varies depending on your Wt/Ht/nutritional needs/gender and PA level)- work with your MD and RD on your special therapeutic dietary needs.

24 gms carbs
7 gms fiber
5 gms sugars (probably from all the lemons).
No added sugar of course.
