Layalina Hosts Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign Seminar

[Press Release - Dubai, UAE – 5th October 2021] Layalina, the region’s leading online lifestyle publication for Arab women hosted a Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign Seminar on October 6, 2021 (Wednesday) at The Theater, Mall of the Emirates from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.
“This cause is close to our hearts. Women and their well-being are the primary focus of Layalina which over the years has continually supported a strong community of women. We are keen on becoming a platform that plays a pioneering role in raising public awareness about the disease. The initiative is important, and we are aware of our responsibility to direct the attention of our readers to the prevention and latest efforts of defeating the disease,” said Anas (Andy) Abbar, co-founder and CEO of 7awi Media Group, publisher of Layalina.
In a study conducted by Istibyani, 7awi's research division, 900 female respondents across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt reveal that a significant number of women claim that they have not heard or read any information about breast cancer in the past 12 months. Given the power of the internet and the reach of social media, there are still women in the region who are not aware of the dreaded disease, its symptoms, early detection measures, and treatments.
