Good news for Abu Dhabi motorists as 2025 rolls in! The capital is offering free parking and waiving DARB toll gate fees on January 1, making it easier—and cheaper—to enjoy New Year celebrations.

Additionally, the Mussafah M-18 truck parking lot will also be toll-free, continuing the tradition from previous years. But before you get too comfortable, keep in mind that regular Mawaqif charges resume at 8 a.m. on Thursday, January 2, alongside DARB tolls during peak hours (7–9 a.m. and 5–7 p.m.).

Parking Rules to Remember

Even with the free parking perks, don’t forget the rules: stick to designated parking areas and avoid residential zones from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m.

Public Transport Updates

Public buses will follow their usual weekend and holiday schedules. Customer Happiness Centres will likely remain closed for the day, but fear not—you can still handle many services via the TAMM app, which even has real-time question support.
