Facebook Down, Many Users Report an Outage

Thousands of social media users reported issues with social media and messaging apps across the UAE on Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Netizens have been facing issues in sending and receiving messages on WhatsApp. They have also been having trouble loading posts on Facebook and Instagram.

Over 2,500 users reported issues with WhatsApp across the UAE at 10:10 p.m. According to Downdetector.ae, over a thousand netizens reported issues with Instagram and Facebook as of 10:15 p.m. 

Reuters reported that Facebook has not been working for more than 50,000 users worldwide and Instagram has not been working for more than 23,000 users.
