Alpine's French F1 driver Esteban Ocon is set to leave the team at the end of the 2024 Formula 1 season, ending a five-year partnership.

Ocon joined Alpine in 2020 and won his and Alpine's first Grand Prix in Hungary in 2021.

With Alpine, Ocon secured two more podiums: at the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix and the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix.

Alpine has confirmed that they will announce their 2025 line-up in 'due course', while Ocon has also assured fans that he will also reveal plans for his future soon.

About Alpine, Ocon said, "There are too many people to thank for their hard work, passion, and dedication to the cause. But also for the kindness and support I received over the years. "

The Team Principal Bruno Famin said about the news, "We still have 16 races to complete in 2024 together with a clear objective: to continue to work tirelessly as a team to push for the best on-track results."

He also said, "We wish Esteban the very best for the next chapter of his driving career when that moment comes.”

The news of Esteban Ocon departing from Alpine came after the Monaco Grand Prix 2024, when Ocon collided with his teammate Pierre Gasly on the first lap, which earned him a five-place grid penalty for the Canadian Grand Prix 2024.
