Dubai’s flagship airline, Emirates, is expanding its reach across Asia with three new flight routes launching this summer. The airline will introduce daily non-stop flights to Shenzhen, China, on July 1, followed by four weekly flights to Da Nang, Vietnam, on June 2, and three weekly flights to Siem Reap, Cambodia, on June 3. The latter two routes will include a stop in Bangkok. All flight launches are subject to government approvals.

Expanding Business and Tourism Opportunities

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, highlighted the strategic importance of the new destinations. Shenzhen, known as China’s tech hub, is expected to boost business and economic ties between the UAE and global markets. Meanwhile, the launch of flights to Da Nang aligns with the growing economic partnership between the UAE and Vietnam.

The airline now serves 24 destinations across East Asia with 269 weekly flights from Dubai, making it the leading non-Asian carrier in the region. These additions mark Emirates' fourth gateway into mainland China, third in Vietnam, and second in Cambodia.

With the launch of the Shenzhen route, Emirates becomes the first Middle Eastern airline to operate direct flights to the city. The route will be served by an upgraded Boeing 777-300ER, featuring four-class cabins, including Premium Economy. Flight schedules are designed for seamless connections to key locations in Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas. Additionally, Emirates plans to transport up to 10 tonnes of cargo per flight, supporting China’s high-tech and e-commerce industries.

Vietnam and Cambodia Connections

Emirates’ new services to Da Nang via Bangkok strengthen its presence in Vietnam, adding to existing routes to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays using a Boeing 777 aircraft.

This route is expected to cater to leisure travelers from Europe and Russia. Both new routes will be operated using Emirates’ two-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
