Elon Musk's Twitter Officially Changes Iconic Blue Bird Logo to 'X'

On the morning of Monday, Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, officially replaced the well-known blue bird logo of the social media platform with a new black-and-white "X." This change came after he had unveiled the new logo the day before.

The new black-and-white "X" logo was prominently showcased on Twitter's headquarters in San Francisco on Monday. Additionally, the official Twitter account on the platform was updated to reflect the name "X" to align with the logo change.

"Our headquarters tonight," Musk wrote in a tweet with the new "X" logo projected onto the building's exterior.

Musk previously changed the company, formerly "Twitter Inc.," to "X Corp."

Ever since Elon Musk acquired Twitter in October 2022, he had intended to transform the company's identity and logo. Prior to this recent logo change to the black-and-white "X," Musk had revealed his desire to rebrand Twitter as "X, the everything app."

During the weekend, Elon Musk confirmed his plans to move away from the light blue aesthetic of Twitter and instead adopt a black-and-white theme for the platform. Furthermore, he expressed his intention to gradually get rid of all the birds, indicating an elimination of the iconic bird logo as part of his broader vision for the company's transformation.

"And soon we shall bid adieu to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds," he tweeted just after midnight Sunday.
