Eid Al Fitr 2024 Prayer Timings in the UAE

As the Islamic festival of EidAlFitr draws near, anticipation rises across the UAE for a joyous celebration after a month of fasting during Ramadan. The UAE's Moon Sighting Committee is set to convene on Monday evening to scan the skies for the crescent moon, marking the conclusion of Ramadan and the commencement of Eid. If sighted, Eid will be observed on April 9; otherwise, festivities will commence on April 10.

In keeping with Islamic tradition, Eid celebrations kick off with a special prayer. On the first day of Eid, mosques and outdoor prayer areas known as musallahs welcome worshippers dressed in their finest attire shortly after sunrise for congregational prayers.

Here are the prayer timings released by authorities:

Dubai: The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has announced that the Eid prayer will commence at 6:18 am.

Sharjah: According to the Hijri calendar issued by the Department of Islamic Affairs in Sharjah, mosques and musallahs will host prayers at 6:17 am.

Abu Dhabi: Prayer timings in Abu Dhabi typically follow those of Dubai, occurring two to four minutes later. As per the Islamic Hijri calendar from the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre, Eid prayers are scheduled for 6:22 am in Abu Dhabi city and 6:15 am in Al Ain.

Ajman and Umm Al Quwain: These Emirates generally adhere to the timings of Sharjah, with prayers at 6:17 am.

Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah: Prayer timings in these Emirates are slightly behind Sharjah, with prayers at 6:15 am.
