Eid Al Etihad Ceremony To Shine in Al Ain Venue

The UAE’s 53rd National Day celebrations, known as Eid Al Etihad, will take place in the picturesque city of Al Ain this year.

The official ceremony on December 2 will unfold against the “breathtaking natural landscapes of Al Ain, a city deeply cherished by the people of the UAE,” according to the committee. Residents across the Emirates can tune in to the celebration live via local TV channels, cinemas, and select public venues. Details on public viewing locations will be revealed soon.

A Legacy of Iconic Celebrations

Each year, the UAE marks National Day with grand ceremonies attended by the Rulers of the Emirates. Past events have taken place in iconic locations such as Expo City Dubai, Hatta Dam, and Zayed Sports City Stadium, highlighting the country’s cultural and natural diversity.

This year’s choice, Al Ain, is particularly special. Known as the “Garden City,” it boasts lush oases, ancient Aflaj irrigation systems, and rich historical significance. The city is a UNESCO World Heritage site, preserving over 4,000 years of history.

Al Ain: A Beacon of Heritage and Sustainability

Aysha Al Nuaimi, head of communications for the organising committee, described Al Ain as a city where “nature and heritage intertwine seamlessly.”

She explained:

“Rooted in centuries-old traditions, its natural environment and historical landmarks are treasures of Emirati heritage. Combined with modern sustainability initiatives, it has transformed into a beacon of environmental stewardship, preserving its natural beauty while embracing progress to inspire future generations.”

Al Ain is also deeply tied to the UAE’s founding history. It was here that the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan began his journey as a leader, laying the foundation for the nation’s development.

A Celebration of UAE’s Legacy

This year’s Eid Al Etihad celebration will honor the UAE’s journey and the vision of its founding fathers. The committee promises a show filled with “innovative storytelling mechanisms” that will showcase the country’s growth, resilience, and forward-thinking spirit.

Whether you’re watching live in Al Ain or tuning in from across the Emirates, the event promises to be a memorable tribute to the UAE’s unity and achievements. Stay tuned for updates on public viewing locations and additional details about the ceremony.
