Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Abu Dhabi Parking Changes in Ramadan

The holy month of Ramadan brings various changes across the UAE, including adjustments to public parking hours in key emirates like Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, and Abu Dhabi. While some areas are offering free parking periods, others have extended paid parking times. Here’s everything you need to know about the updates for parking across these cities during Ramadan.

Dubai Parking Hours

In Dubai, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has adjusted paid parking times to accommodate Ramadan schedules. Parking fees will be applied in two periods:

  • 8 AM to 6 PM
  • 8 PM to 12 AM

This means parking is free from 6 PM to 8 PM. Additionally, parking is free on Sundays. Multi-level parking buildings in Dubai will operate 24/7, so you can always find a spot.

Sharjah Parking Hours

Sharjah has extended the paid parking timings during Ramadan. Now, you’ll need to pay for parking from 8 AM until midnight, an additional two hours compared to the usual 8 AM to 10 PM schedule. As always, parking remains free on Fridays.

Ajman Parking Hours

Ajman has split the paid parking periods into two shifts, much like Dubai. From Saturday to Thursday, parking charges apply during these times:

  • 9 AM to 1 PM
  • 8 PM to 12 AM

The period between 1 PM and 8 PM is free of charge.

Abu Dhabi Parking Hours

In Abu Dhabi, the paid parking timings remain unchanged during Ramadan, with Mawaqif charges applying from 8 AM to 12 PM across the city. However, there are changes in toll gate operations. The Darb toll system will charge during peak hours, which are:

  • 8 AM to 10 AM (morning peak)
  • 2 PM to 4 PM (evening peak)

On Sundays, both parking and toll gates are free.
