Boosting Capacity and Reducing Congestion

The Blue Line is expected to serve 200,000 daily riders in 2030, with this number projected to rise to 320,000 by 2040. It will ease traffic congestion by 20%, carrying up to 46,000 passengers per hour in both directions.

The route will connect Dubai International Airport to key urban areas such as Mirdif, Al Warqa, Dubai Silicon Oasis, and Dubai Festival City, with travel times ranging from 10 to 25 minutes.

A Step Toward the '20-Minute City' Vision

Part of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, the Blue Line supports the vision of a “20-minute city,” where 80% of essential services are accessible within a 20-minute journey.

Futuristic Station Designs

The new stations will feature a sleek, futuristic look, departing from the fully enclosed designs of the Red and Green Lines. The main platform will have a large, oval-shaped structure arching over the tracks, while the side exits will showcase symmetrical, curved aesthetics.

Impact on Property Prices

Properties near the Blue Line stations are expected to see a rise in value. Key areas such as International City, Dubai Silicon Oasis, and Ras Al Khor could experience double-digit increases in property prices and rentals. The RTA estimates land and property values near the stations could increase by up to 25%.

The Dubai Metro Blue Line is not just a transportation upgrade—it’s a step toward a smarter, more connected city.
