Dubai Announces Security Plan For 2025 New Year's Eve

The Events Security Committee in Dubai has rolled out a comprehensive plan to ensure the safety and enjoyment of the 2025 New Year’s Eve celebrations. Building on the successful strategies of previous years, the emirate will again be divided into four operational sectors—North, Central, West, and Maritime - to streamline safety and public services in collaboration with key partners.

Special Provisions for Workers

In partnership with the Permanent Committee for Labour Affairs, dedicated viewing zones have been set up for workers. These areas will feature large screens and meal services, enabling workers to enjoy the festivities, including fireworks, in a safe and comfortable environment without needing to move to crowded locations.

Fireworks and Event Highlights

This year’s celebrations will feature fireworks displays at 36 iconic locations across Dubai. Major sites include Burj Khalifa, Global Village, Bab Al Shams Desert Resort, Atlantis The Royal, and more.

Deployment of Security and Emergency Resources

Dubai Police will mobilize 8,530 officers, 1,145 patrols, 33 marine rescue boats, Civil Defence vehicles, and ambulances. Six mobile operations rooms will be active, ensuring smooth coordination and quick responses.

In Downtown Dubai, dedicated tents will provide services such as:

• Lost and found assistance
• First aid
• Support for lost children
• Visitor guidance

Traffic and Transport Plan

Hussain Al Banna, Executive Director at the RTA, detailed measures to manage traffic, including:

• Road Closures: Key streets around Burj Khalifa will close from 4:00 PM.
• Metro Services: Dubai Metro will operate continuously for 43 hours from 5:00 AM on December 31.
• Shuttle Services: Over 260 buses will transport guests, with additional parking at Al Wasl Club and Al Jaffiliya.

Public Services and Safety

Dubai Municipality has deployed 2,776 staff to ensure public health, food safety, and cleanliness at event sites. Lifeguards will be stationed at beaches, and round-the-clock waste management teams will maintain event areas.

Medical Readiness

Dubai Health has set up a field hospital near Burj Khalifa, reinforced with seven medical points and 1,800 staff. Emergency care will also be available via telemedicine and home care services.

A Call for Public Cooperation

Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri urged the public to follow traffic instructions, report any suspicious activities, and adhere to safety guidelines. Dubai Police and its partners are committed to providing a secure and enjoyable New Year’s Eve experience for everyone.
