Cricket lovers scrambled to buy seats, but within 40 minutes, all tickets—ranging from AED 250 General Admission to AED 12,000 Sky Box—were completely sold out on the official platform.

Now, resale prices have hit the roof, with some tickets listed at an eye-watering AED 97,746—a staggering 714% increase from their original price, according to secondary marketplace Viagogo. Other platforms, like Xchangetickets, are reselling AED 250 tickets for AED 3,000—a 1,100% hike.

Fans Are Willing to Pay Big!

Despite these jaw-dropping markups, determined fans are still snapping up tickets, with resale sites showing only two or four tickets left per category. Meanwhile, Ticombo is offering some sections for over AED 11,000, even allowing buyers to negotiate prices.

The ticket craze follows India’s thrilling victory over Australia, led by Virat Kohli’s solid 84-run performance. With India now set to play in the final on March 9 against the winner of the New Zealand vs. South Africa semi-final, excitement is at an all-time high.

Dubai Becomes the Cricket Capital

Originally set to be played in Pakistan, the tournament was relocated to Dubai after Team India refused to travel due to security concerns. Now, fans from around the world are flocking to the UAE to witness cricket history in the making.
