Breaking: Hamas Confirms Senior Hamas Leader's Death in Explosion

Senior Hamas official Saleh al-Arouri was killed in an explosion in Beirut, and Hamas attributed the assassination to Israel.

Reports indicate a drone attacked Hamas offices during a meeting in Dahiyeh, resulting in three casualties. The Pro-Iranian Mayadeen TV channel identified an Israeli drone as the cause of the explosion. Al-Arouri, Hamas's deputy head of the political bureau and head of operations in the West Bank, played a significant role in the organization.

The drone strike, targeting a Hamas office, resulted in a total of six casualties. Lebanese Prime Minister Mikati condemned the incident as a "new Israeli crime," alleging an attempt to drag Lebanon into war. The aftermath showed a damaged building with visible human remains.

Al-Arouri, founder of Hamas' armed wing in the West Bank, faced past arrests by Israel and had been exiled in 2010. The incident sparked condemnation and heightened tensions in the region.
