Anime Film Week is Coming to Dubai This Month!

Get transported into a fantastical realm with Anime Film Week at Cinema Akil this month!

The event will run from Friday, Oct. 25 to Thursday, Oct. 31 at the independent cinema in Alserkal Avenue, Al Quoz. 

Here are the anime films that will be screened at Cinema Akil:

Ghost Cat Anzu

"Ghost Cat Anzu" is a captivating anime film that weaves a supernatural tale of mystery and charm. The story follows Anzu, a mischievous cat spirit, as she navigates the human world while uncovering hidden secrets from her past. The Boy and the Heron

"The Boy and the Heron" is a visually stunning anime film directed by the legendary Hayao Miyazaki. The story follows a young boy who encounters a mysterious heron that leads him into a world of wonder and secrets. As he navigates this magical realm, he learns about life, loss, and the power of courage.

The film will be screened on the following dates and times:

• Oct. 25: 9:00 p.m.
• Oct. 27: 7:00 p.m.
• Oct. 29: 9:30 p.m.
• Oct. 30: 7:00 p.m.

Howl's Moving Castle

"Howl's Moving Castle," directed by Hayao Miyazaki, is a spellbinding anime film that tells the story of Sophie, a young woman transformed into an elderly lady by a witch’s curse. Her only hope lies with Howl, a mysterious wizard who lives in a magical, walking castle. Spirited Away
