The amazing live music event Wireless Festival will have the Middle East edition held on Saturday March 11th, at Etihad Park in Abu Dhabi's Yas Island, headlined by American rapper Travis Scott and British rapper M.I.A.

What is Wireless Festival?

Wireless Festival is a live music event that features rap and hip-hop music. The festival was first launched in 2005 at London’s Hyde Park and it used to feature rock and pop music. However, in recent years Wireless Festival has featured more urban and hip-hop music and has hosted singers like Jay-Z, Kanye West, Rihanna, and Justin Timberlake.

Travis Scott

The American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer has four number-one hits on the Billboard Hot 100 and has received eight Grammy nominations. He has received various awards such as the Billboard Music Award and MTV Music Award. He also has his own record label Cactus Jack Records.

M.I.A

The British rapper and singer is renowned for her single “Paper Planes”. This single made it to number four on the Billboard Hot 100 and sold over four million copies. She has received two awards from the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) and two awards from MTV Video Music Awards. She has also received a nomination for an Academy Award and a Grammy Award. In the 2019 Birthday Honours, M.I.A was appointed Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) for her contributions to music.

$kinny

$kinny is a Saudi-American hip-hop rapper. He has created four studio albums and eighteen singles. His album Thank You For Nothing made it to number one on Apple Music Middle East in 2019.

Wegz

Wegz is an Egyptian trap singer and actor. He has been “The Most Listened to” Egyptian singer for three consecutive years since 2020. Wegz also performed "Ezz Al Arab" (“Arab Glory”) at the closing ceremony of the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar. His song was featured in a banner at New York Times Square.

Raja Kumari

Raja Kumari is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter with Indian roots. She has collaborated with artists like Iggy Azalea and Fifth Harmony. She has also received a BMI Pop Award for co-writing the song “Centuries” with Fall Out Boy. Raja Kumari has contributed to various film music for Indian films such as Mom and Race 3. She has her own record label Godmother Records.

Black Cherif

Black Cherif is a Ghanaian rapper and singer. He first gained popularity with his song “First Sermon”. He made a breakthrough with his hit single “Kwaku the Traveller”, which made it number one on Ghanaian and Nigerian Apple music charts. In 2023, he won the “Best Hip Hop” award at the Soundcity MVP Awards in Lagos.
