The Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management in Dubai has issued several directives for New Year’s Eve gatherings.
As per the announcement, gathering of more than 30 people are prohibited in Dubai and the fine for violating this directive is Dh50,000 for the host and Dh15,000 for each attendee.

In addition, parties must be socially distanced, with the rule being one person per four square metres of space.
This was among the several COVID-19 safety measures approved by the committee during a meeting chaired by Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Other guidelines:
Those attending socially distanced parties are always required to wear face masks. The elderly and those with chronic conditions should be advised not to attend these gatherings. Any person experiencing symptoms such as coughing, or fever must refrain from attending events.
