The 51-year-old Turkish sharpshooter Yusuf Dikeç impressed netizens when he secured a silver medal at the Paris Olympics 2024 without special lenses or ear protectors.
He secured the medal in the mixed event for the 10-meter air pistol event with his teammate Sevval Ilayda Tarhan. He only wore earplugs and prescription glasses during the event, which has made waves on social media.
The gold medal winners were Serbia’s Zorana Arunovic and Damir Mikec and the bronze winners were India's Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh.

Dikeç's teammate Tarhan also did not wear any blinders during the event and kept one hand tucked in her pocket.
Their win was the first medal received by the Turkiye at the Paris Olympics 2024.
