In an unexpected turn of events, Saudi Arabia won 2-1 against Argentina in its first match at the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar. Two players were responsible for scoring. Saleh Al-Shehri scored at minute 48 while Salem Al-Dawsari scored at minute 53.

Saleh Al-Shehri
Saleh Al-Shehri opened the scoring for the middle eastern country in the 48th minute to equalise against the Lionel Messi-led Argentina.
Saleh bin Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Shehri is a Saudi Arabian professional footballer player who plays as a striker for Al-Hilal and the Saudi Arabia national team.
Saleh is the first Saudi Arabian to score in Europe. At his second match against Vitória he scored the fastest goal in Primeira Liga 12/13.
Salem Al-Dawsari
Salem Al-Dawsari scored in the in the 53rd minute of the Group C match as Saudi Arabia took a 2-1 lead against Argentina in the ongoing FIFA World Cup in the Education City stadium on Tuesday.
Al-Dawsari plays for Al Hilal as a winger in the Saudi Pro League and has made four appearances for the side.
Al-Dawsari was called up to the Saudi Arabian national team for the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and scored his first international goal in an away match against Australia in 2012. In May 2018, he was named in Saudi Arabia’s preliminary squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
