Preliminary and civil tests will be combined as part of the initiative on the same day, enabling applicants to take both exams simultaneously. High school graduates and National Service recruits are eligible for the One Day test initiative.
The move is part of Sharjah Police's desire to grow while sustaining its customer services, according to Colonel Khaled Mohammed Al Kay, Director of the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department.
The authority also aims to encourage smart transformation by giving customers services that go above and beyond their expectations and make it simple for them to conduct transactions, resulting in happy and satisfied customers.
The new initiative has officially started as of today, Tuesday (July 11, 2023), according to Colonel Al Kay. The initiative is scheduled to continue until the end of September. The service will take place in two phases: electronically and on-site.
The initial phase will be conducted electronically without a need for attendance in person. An applicant only needs to use the MOI (Ministry of Interior) application to open a new driver's license file.
The applicant then proceeds to the second phase, which involves practical training, after passing the online theory test. The preliminary and civil tests will then be held on the same day as the final test date.
