The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP) and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE) have started a campaign to increase public awareness of the entry and residency rules for foreign nationals as well as the labor law.

The three-month campaign will start on October 10th and involve many government departments, free zones across the nation, and media outlets.

Khalil Al Khoori, undersecretary for Human Resources Affairs at MoHRE said, “The campaign aims to familiarise people with the key provisions of the entry and residency laws for foreign nationals in the UAE, as well as regulations for labor relations (the labor law), and the procedures and penalties for violators.”

Target audiences will be offered a "diverse range of media activities" during the drive in the following four languages: Arabic, English, Urdu, and Swahili.

The initiative would highlight the legal actions taken against violators, according to Major-General Suhail Al Khaili, director-general of the ICP.

Visa holders can use the ICP website or app to check the status of their paperwork and see whether they have any fines. Penalties may be paid online or in person at ICP service centers and typing centers.
