Residents are being encouraged by Abu Dhabi Police to follow traffic laws and refrain from throwing garbage on the roads.

According to the authority, violating Article 71 of the Traffic Law can result in a fine of Dh1,000 and 6 black points for the person responsible.
It has been requested that drivers refrain from contaminating their surroundings by dumping trash in closed containers. The organization continued by saying that it was committed to educating drivers about the dangers of acting recklessly.

The Abu Dhabi Police further stated that the law will not be applied leniently and criticized such behavior.
