Renowned for her role in the Netflix series 'Wednesday' Jenna Ortega used her social media to shed light on the current crisis in Gaza.

Ortega shared a picture on Instagram of a Palestinian family from a time before the ongoing war because the family is all smiles while they lounge in a garden, which emphasizes the loss of family during a war.

In the caption, the American actress wrote, "Masses debating over a ceasefire while thousands upon thousands of children continue being slaughtered. Where is the humanity."

Ortega's post came after Israel attacked Rafah on Tuesday, May 28, which followed an attack on Sunday, May 26

Ortega has also shared posts in her Instagram stories about people's experiences in Rafah and Gaza and the viral 'All Eyes on Rafah' post.

The actress also shared a donation link by the 'Bridgerton' actress Nicola Coughlan for the Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF).

Coughlan has also been vocal about her support for the Palestinian people in Gaza during her promotions for her Netflix series.

In one of her interviews, Coughlan said, "I feel like I am a very privileged person, I am doing my dream job and getting to travel the world, but then I am hyper aware of what’s happening in Rafah at the moment."

Jenna Ortega made headlines in the past few months for leaving the 'Scream 7' movie after Mexican actress Melissa Barrera was fired from the film for her pro-Palestinian remarks on social media.

There were speculations that Ortega left the film because of Barrera and her own pro-Palestinian stance, however, the star had left the film because she was busy with filming for the second season of 'Wednesday'.
