The "Mother of the Nation," Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), has revealed the theme for this year's Emirati Women's Day. Every year, it is celebrated on the 28th of August.

"We Collaborate for Tomorrow" was chosen as the theme of Emirati Women's Day in accordance with UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's announcement of 2023 as the "Year of Sustainability," emphasizing the UAE's dedication to coming up with innovative solutions to challenges related to sustainability.

“Every year, we proudly announce an inspiring theme for Emirati Women’s Day, and this national occasion is a priority for us. This day highlights a set of objectives that aligns with the country’s strategy that recognizes and empowers the crucial role of women in the country," said Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak.

“The UAE has made gender balance an integral part of the nation's social culture. This highlights the significance of collaboration between federal and local authorities, civil society, and the private sector to enhance the achievements in this area,” she further added.

The UAE is preparing to address the serious issues connected to climate change in advance of COP28, which is scheduled to take place in November 2023. With two-thirds of the management team and more than 50% of the administrative staff being women, it is remarkable that they will be leading the charge.
