Dubai Media Office released a time-lapse showing off the flight model of the Emirati lunar rover, Rashid, installed at the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre's (MBRSC) laboratories in preparation for the first Arab mission to the Moon.

A total of 50 Emirati engineers, researchers and scientists are involved in the development and deployment of Rashid Rover, which is scheduled for launch by the end of 2022.

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has reviewed the details of the Emirates Lunar Mission while receiving the Mission’s team in Qasr Al Bahar in Abu Dhabi earlier this week.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed said, "The Emirates Lunar Mission translate our confidence in moving forward in the field of space. It is a great confirmation that the historic achievement of the "Hope Probe" was only the beginning of the UAE journey of space exploration.
