The Abu Dhabi Police warned drivers that unexpected swerves could result in an AED 200 fine and 4 black points. They also advised against lane changes that put the driver in danger, overtaking other vehicles in the wrong direction (fine of AED 200, 3 black points), entering a road before it is clear (fine of AED 400, 4 black points), and moving to another road without using the correct lane.
If a driver overtakes in a restricted area, enters the road carelessly, or does so on a hard shoulder, they could also be fined 600 AED and given three black points.
