The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) managing Abu Dhabi's Mawaqif parking system urges motorists to use designated spaces for parking, aiming to improve traffic flow and enhance road safety. The Parking Management Department's inspectors actively conduct checks to ensure compliance, with potential fines of up to AED 1,000 for illegal parking offenses, contingent on the nature of the violation.

Emphasizing adherence to rules, the ITC discourages parking or stopping in unauthorized areas, observed instances include blocking fire hydrants and occupying spaces designated for people with determination.

The initiative aims to create a safer and more orderly parking environment, discouraging disruptive practices and promoting adherence to regulations for the benefit of overall traffic management.
