UNRWA Suspends Services in West Bank Due to Israeli Raids

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) has suspended operations in several areas in the occupied West Bank after days of Israeli raids in the area.

UNRWA head Philippe Lazzarini wrote on X, "Israeli security forces’ operations in northern West Bank continue impacting Palestine refugees."
Tens of thousands of people have been affected by the raids in four refugee camps because of the destruction of private and public infrastructure.
Various individuals were killed during the raids including one person with disabilities.
Lazzarini also said, "It is time to reach a political solution to this decades’ long conflict to end the suffering of civilians wherever they are.”
Israeli forces launched a large-scale raid in the West Bank on Wednesday, Aug. 28.
