UAE's Jaywan Cards Now Accepted in 200 Countries
New co-badged Jaywan-Visa cards unlock seamless global payments for UAE residents.

UAE residents can now use Jaywan cards for payments worldwide, thanks to a new partnership between Al Etihad Payments and Visa.
The agreement introduces co-badged Jaywan-Visa debit and prepaid cards, allowing users to make transactions at over 150 million merchants across 200 countries and territories.
This marks the first-ever Jaywan card that supports both online and international payments, offering a game-changing upgrade for travelers and online shoppers. While the mono-badge Jaywan card remains for local and GCC transactions, the co-badge version enables payments abroad via Visa’s global network, VisaNet.
Al Etihad Payments, a subsidiary of the UAE Central Bank (CBUAE), launched Jaywan to strengthen the country’s financial infrastructure and reduce payment costs for individuals and businesses.
Saif Humaid Al Dhaheri, Chairman of Al Etihad Payments, emphasized that this collaboration ensures a secure and efficient card payment ecosystem. Meanwhile, Visa’s Dr. Saeeda Jaffar highlighted how the initiative will accelerate the UAE’s shift to digital payments, with 30% of transactions still relying on cash.
With Jaywan now bridging local and global payments, UAE residents have more flexibility than ever—whether spending at home, shopping online, or traveling abroad.
