The UAE sent three aid planes to support the Sudanese people, carrying more than 115 tons of medical and food supplies.
Two planes arrived at Port Sudan Airport, carrying 100 tons of urgent medical supplies and essential drugs for emergency surgeries.

The third plane, which headed for Chad, carried 15 tons of food supplies.
Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for International Development Affairs, stated that the UAE air bridge of food and medical aid comes as a continuation of the country's humanitarian approach based on extending a helping hand to countries in times of need.
Since the beginning of conflict in Sudan, the UAE was among the first countries to send direct aid to violence-torn country, as it provided more than 240 tons of medical and food aid, in addition to evacuating 744 foreign nationals, diplomats and their families.
