UAE Schools to Hold Online Classes on Fridays During Ramadan
Ministry of Education introduces ‘Ramadan with Family’ initiative to support family time

Public school students in the UAE will attend classes remotely on Fridays during Ramadan, as part of a new initiative by the Ministry of Education. The decision aims to allow students to spend more time with their families while observing the holy month.
Remote Learning to Begin from First Friday of Ramadan
The shift to online classes will start on the first Friday of Ramadan, enabling students to participate in home activities and strengthen their understanding of Ramadan’s values. However, students with scheduled exams on Fridays will still need to attend school in person.

Teachers to Remain on Campus, Parents Have the Option for In-Person Learning
While students switch to remote learning, teachers will continue working on campus. Parents who prefer their children to attend school physically can do so, but they must arrange their own transportation. Schools will provide supervision to ensure students remain on track with their curriculum.
Guidance Manual to Help Families Adapt
To support this transition, the Ministry has introduced a guidance manual for students and parents. It includes recommendations on maximizing the benefits of Fridays, with a focus on cultural and religious activities.
