Morocco has introduced a streamlined visa application process for residents of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), offering greater accessibility to the rich cultural experiences of the North African nation. Launched on March 4 by the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Abu Dhabi, the eVisa system eliminates the need for embassy visits, facilitating hassle-free travel for UAE residents.

Eligibility and Validity

Residents holding a valid Emirates ID card with at least 180 days of residency are eligible for the eVisa. The visa remains valid for 180 days from the date of issuance and allows for a single entry, enabling a short stay of up to 30 days within Moroccan territory.

Application Procedure

To apply for the eVisa, applicants must visit acces-maroc.ma and complete the online application process. Required documents include a copy of the UAE residence visa (valid for over 180 days), a passport copy (valid for over 90 days), and a passport-sized photograph.

Application Process Steps

  1. Visit acces-maroc.ma and select nationality, residence country, and purpose of the trip.
  2. Confirm email address and complete captcha.
  3. Fill out the application form with personal details and travel information.
  4. Upload a passport-sized photograph and passport copy.
  5. Review and validate the application.
  6. Choose between standard (3 business days) or express (1 business day) processing.
  7. Make payment and receive the application number for tracking.

Cost and Payment

The eVisa application offers two processing options:

  • Standard: 770 MAD (approximately Dh281.67) for processing within three business days.
  • Express: 1,100 MAD (approximately Dh402.39) for processing within one business day.

For Assistance

In case of any issues or queries regarding the application process, applicants can contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates at e-visa@maec.gov.ma.
