UAE Announces Ramadan Working Hours for Private Sector

Since Ramadan is only a week away, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) announced reduced working hours for private sector employees during Ramadan.

The working hours for private sector employees will be reduced by two hours during the holy month.

Private sector companies also have the option to implement flexible or remote working schedules within the limits of the daily working hours implemented for Ramadan.

If private sector employees work beyond the reduced schedule, they will be entitled to extra compensation.

The reduced working hours will apply to both fasting and non-fasting employees.
