UAE's President and Vice President posted congratulatory messages for the Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi after SpaceX had a successful liftoff on Thursday.
President of UAE His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan tweeted "I join the nation in congratulating Sultan AlNeyadi as he begins his pioneering mission aboard the International Space Station. His inspiring achievement is a source of great pride to the UAE and another milestone in the journey of our nation and the ambitions of our people.”
Vice President of UAE and ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum tweeted "the son of the Emirates, Sultan Al Neyadi, surrounded by God's care and care, launched into space today to be the first Arab astronaut on a long-term mission that takes six months to the International Space Station."

Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum watched the launch at Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre.
The SpaceX Dragon spacecraft Endeavour carried Sultan Al Neyadi along with four Crew-6 mates and reached orbit safely earlier on Thursday. The spacecraft is expected to reach the International Space Station on Friday morning.
NASA will stream footage of the moment Al Neyadi and the four Crew-6 mates float into the station.
