Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, the Crown Prince of Dubai, has made an announcement that more than 3,000 residential plots have been distributed to Emirati citizens who are living in the Emirate.
According to Sheikh Hamdan, he stated that Dubai Municipality had made a distribution of 3,200 residential plots of land to UAE citizens.
Earlier Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, approved a major budget of Dh65 billion. This historic budget includes a housing package intended to enhance the quality of Emirati homes over the next two decades.
"We continue to place the uppermost priority on ensuring the welfare of citizens and enhancing social cohesiveness and family stability." Sheikh Hamdan tweeted on Twitter.
The allocation of plots is an initiative aimed to show support to Dubai's Higher Committee for Development and Citizens Affair housing plan as well as the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, which strives to achieve sustainability in Dubai while fostering the quality of life in the Emirate.
The plots will be fully serviced. During its first year, the committee made an approval allocating 11,500 land plots for citizens, as well as housing loans worth Dh7 billion, bringing benefits to about 7,000 people.
