The UAE has opened a new border crossing to Oman in Fujairah, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM). The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP) announced the launch on Wednesday, highlighting the crossing’s potential to improve trade and facilitate smoother travel between the two nations.
The new Wam border crossing is set to enhance connectivity, making the flow of goods and passengers more efficient. Major General Suhail Saeed al-Khaili, ICP Director-General, who oversaw the launch, described it as a "strategic step" toward bolstering cooperation between the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman.
