UAE National Day: Private Schools Shift to Remote Learning on Friday

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has revealed that, in celebration of the UAE's National Day, private schools and universities in Dubai will switch to a remote learning model on Friday, December 1st.
This decision translates into a three-day weekend for students enrolled in Dubai's private institutions, along with remote learning on Friday.
Additionally, a holiday has been declared for schools on Monday, December 4th, aligning with the day off for both public and private sector workers.
Simultaneously, the Federal Authority For Government Human Resources has announced a leave period for employees from Saturday, December 2nd, to Monday, December 4th, with regular work resuming on Tuesday, December 5th. For public sector employees, the option to work from home on Friday, December 1st, is also available.
National Day commemorates the formation of the UAE on December 2nd, 1971, when six emirates united, with Ras Al Khaimah joining the following year.
The 52nd National Day will be celebrated with various festivities across the nation, while the official ceremony will be held at Expo City Dubai, the venue for the COP28 climate conference.
This event promises to showcase the nation's sustainable vision using innovative technologies, projections, and elements of Sadu weaving—a symbol of unity and sustainability. The presentation will delve into the roots of Emirati culture, highlighting the interplay between tradition and technology.
