UAE Major General Elected As President of INTERPOL

The International Criminal Police Organisation (INTERPOL) has announced that the UAE candidate, Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior, has won its presidency for a four-year term.
The announcement was made in a tweet via the INTERPOL's official twitter account.

He will replace South Korea's Kim Jong Yang who clocked one more year in office due to the pandemic.

According to media reports, 470 police chiefs, ministers, and other representatives from more than 160 countries attended the three-day General Assembly at Istanbul.
