On the International Day of Charity, the UAE continues to affirm its leading role in global humanitarian efforts. This year, the focus is on Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, a key initiative providing critical aid to the residents of Gaza. As part of its ongoing mission, the UAE delivers essential relief and medical support, proving once again its deep commitment to helping those in need.

Operation Chivalrous Knight 3: A Pillar of UAE's Humanitarian Work

Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 stands as one of the UAE’s most significant relief efforts to date. With over 104 aid convoys and four ships delivering more than 38,000 tonnes of life-saving supplies, the initiative has provided food, clothing, tents, and medicines to displaced families in Gaza. Additionally, 259 airlifts have transported over 5,000 tonnes of aid to support Palestinians in dire need.

"Birds of Goodness" Initiative: Reaching the Unreachable

This program has carried out 104 air drops of humanitarian aid to areas in Gaza that are otherwise inaccessible by land. These air drops have been a game-changer in delivering much-needed supplies to the most isolated communities, further demonstrating the UAE’s dedication to meeting the urgent needs of the Palestinian people.

Boosting Medical Support and Healthcare Infrastructure

Beyond emergency relief, the UAE has invested heavily in improving Gaza’s healthcare system. The country has provided large quantities of essential medicines and medical equipment and has allocated US$5 million to a polio vaccination campaign, helping immunize 650,000 children in Gaza. Moreover, the UAE has been supplying hospitals with advanced medical equipment, significantly enhancing their capacity to treat patients.

Enhancing Local Infrastructure and Utilities in Gaza

The UAE's assistance goes beyond short-term relief. It has undertaken crucial projects to improve water and sanitation infrastructure in Gaza, including water pipeline repairs in Khan Younis and northern Gaza. Additionally, the UAE has organized water distribution campaigns in shelters, ensuring access to clean water for displaced families.
