Enhanced Border Control and Anti-Trafficking Measures
In addition to supporting at-risk communities, the strategy intensifies border control and enforcement efforts to crack down on drug trafficking. The government aims to disrupt drug networks by increasing the capture of traffickers and strengthening international partnerships in the fight against drugs.
Raising Awareness and Responsible Prescription Use
The UAE’s strategy also places a strong emphasis on preventive education, launching awareness campaigns to help communities recognize the risks of drug use. It also promotes careful regulation of potentially addictive prescription medications, encouraging responsible use among healthcare providers and patients.
